The 15 yard container in Bentonville
The 15 yard is the middle ground: too much job for a 10, not enough for a 20. Garage, attic or basement cleanouts, flooring and carpet removal, kitchen and bath remodels, small deck or fence removal, light roofing tear-offs and yard waste — those are the classic fits. It holds about 15 cubic yards, roughly four to five pickup truck loads or 80 to 100 standard 33-gallon bags.
At about 16 feet long and 7.5 feet wide it gives you more room than a 10 without taking over the driveway, and it fits most Bentonville driveways without blocking garage access. The 4.5-foot sides keep the throw height short, which makes loading safer and easier for homeowners doing weekend projects.
Space needed
a flat, solid spot about 16 feet long and 8 feet wide (a driveway, pad or job site, not the lawn), about 60 feet of clear approach for the roll-off truck to back in, and about 25 feet of clearance overhead, free of power lines and branches
Kitchens, floors, light roofs and yards
A kitchen makes more debris than people expect: by the time the cabinets, the countertops and the drywall are out, a 10 is tight and a 15 is right. Flooring jobs are the same — carpet, pad and laminate are bulky, and tile is dense, so watch the weight. Light and medium roofing fits too, but shingles are heavy: tell us about the roof and we estimate the weight before you book. Break long deck boards, posts and fence panels down so they load flat and save space.
Yard work fits as well: branches, shrubs and leaves from a cleanup or a storm. Keep dirt out of a mixed load unless we have agreed it first, because it is heavy and changes where the load can go. In Bentonville, yard waste may not go in the City's normal trash, and burning yard debris is prohibited at all times (City Code § 14-204), so a 15 on the driveway is the practical way to clear a big yard job.
Weight on a 15 yard
Most rentals include 2 to 3 tons. Flooring, tile, plaster, roofing and wet yard waste reach that quickly; cabinets, drywall, carpet and furniture rarely do. If more than half the load is dense — tile or concrete — call us first, because a 10 yard may save you an overage. Load evenly front to back and side to side, and keep everything below the top rail so the tarp closes safely. The flat rate covers delivery and pickup, disposal up to the included weight and a standard rental period of 3 to 7 days, and extensions are available for a small daily or weekly fee. No hidden fees.
Suitability
Is the 15 yard the right size for you?
Rough working figures. Weight, not volume, is what usually decides.
Choose the 15 yard for
- Garage, attic and basement cleanouts
- Flooring and carpet removal
- Kitchen and bath remodels
- Small deck and fence removal
- Yard waste and storm debris
Pick a different size for
- Whole-home cleanouts — go to the 20
- Loads that are mostly tile, concrete or dirt (a 10 may be better)
- Dirt mixed into household junk without checking first
- Paint, chemicals, fuel, tires, batteries or asbestos
Placing a 15 yard container in Bentonville
It needs a flat, solid spot about 16 feet long and 8 feet wide (a driveway, pad or job site, not the lawn), about 60 feet of clear approach for the roll-off truck to back in, and about 25 feet of clearance overhead, free of power lines and branches. The driveway comes first. In Bentonville, City Code § 42-80 says: "No pickups or hauling of refuse shall be made except by city-owned or authorized vehicles. Authorized vehicles shall be those as to which the owner has a written contract with the city." Homes and businesses use the City's collection service, run by a contractor under a City contract (§ 42-71), and we found no City page that mentions roll-offs or construction debris. So we check the City's requirements and the placement with you before booking. On a Bentonville street, a City right-of-way permit is needed for any work in the public right-of-way (§ 50-721), § 82-120 makes it an offense to obstruct a street, alley or sidewalk, and a truck over three tons may park on a street only while loading or unloading - in residential zones only between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. (§ 94-63). So the driveway comes first. Elsewhere the street rule is written down too: Rogers wants a ROW Use Permit before a dumpster goes in a street, right-of-way or public parking space, with a site plan and a traffic control plan for work in the street; Lowell bars obstructing any street or sidewalk (§ 22-5), so a Lowell container stays on the property; Springdale bars putting refuse or building materials on a street (§ 110-3); Siloam Springs bars obstructing streets and rights-of-way unless the administrator grants a written variance (§ 86-3); and Pea Ridge bars parking trucks over 6,000 lb on any street that is not a marked truck route (§ 8.08.01(E)). Arkansas law holds state highway right-of-way "inviolate for state highway purposes" and allows no encroachments in it (Ark. Code § 27-67-304), and we found no ArDOT permit for a container, so a container never goes in the right-of-way of I-49, US-71, US-62, US-412, AR-12, AR-72, AR-102 or AR-112. Check any neighborhood association rules too. Protective boards can go under the rails on request. Each city page covers its own rules.

15 Yard Dumpster — questions we get asked
Not covered here? Call (479) 364-6745 and ask.
How big is a 15 yard dumpster?
About 16 feet long, 7.5 feet wide and 4.5 feet high. It holds about 15 cubic yards, roughly four to five pickup truck loads or 80 to 100 bags sized at 33 gallons.
Will it fit in my driveway?
Most likely — it fits most Bentonville driveways without blocking garage access, and the driveway is where it should go. The truck needs about 60 feet of clear approach and about 25 feet of clearance overhead. The street is the fallback, not the plan: in Bentonville a City right-of-way permit is needed for any work in the public right-of-way (§ 50-721) and § 82-120 bans obstructing streets and sidewalks; Rogers wants a ROW Use Permit before a dumpster goes in a street or public parking space; and Lowell bars obstructing any street or sidewalk (§ 22-5).
Can I keep it longer than the standard period?
Yes. The standard rental period is 3 to 7 days, and we extend it for a small daily or weekly fee — just call.
What is the weight limit?
Most rentals include 2 to 3 tons. Dense materials such as tile, plaster, roofing and wet yard waste can hit that allowance fast, so call for a quick estimate.
Can I mix materials?
Usually yes, but do not mix dirt or concrete with household junk without checking with us first. Anything on our not-accepted list — paint, fuel, oil, chemicals, tires, batteries, asbestos, medical waste — stays out.
