Construction Dumpster Rental across Northwest Arkansas

A job site does not make one kind of waste. Demolition comes out heavy — concrete, tile, brick, roofing — then framing and drywall come out light and bulky, then the finish phase is packaging and offcuts. We size each phase on its own: a 10 for heavy debris and tight access, a 15 for bathroom and kitchen demo and roofing, a 20 for medium construction and renovation, a 30 for multi-room projects and framing debris, and a 40 for large builds, demolition and commercial sites. If the project needs more than one container, we schedule ongoing swap-outs.

Building debris is its own category in Arkansas. Construction and demolition waste is any material from building, remodeling, roofing or demolishing a structure — lumber, roofing, bricks, concrete blocks, siding, drywall, masonry, metal, cardboard and more (8 CAR § 60-106) — and the Benton County Solid Waste District says it must go to a transfer station or landfill, not a household drop-off. Several cities also set rules for construction-site containers, and the Bentonville permit guide covers the street questions.

Demolition, framing, roofing and finish

Our construction dumpsters take lumber, plywood and drywall; concrete, asphalt, stone and brick; roofing shingles and metal sheets; pallets, packaging and cardboard; tiles, flooring and carpet; and scrap metal and fixtures. Heavy material goes in the smaller containers because of weight; framing debris, lumber, drywall and packaging go in 20s, 30s and 40s. New home construction, renovations and additions, demolition, commercial builds, roofing and siding jobs, and landscaping and excavation all have a size.

Demolition is a state matter before it is a dumpster matter. For any building other than a residential one with four or fewer dwelling units, Arkansas requires an asbestos inspection before demolition or renovation (20 CAR § 860-105), written notice to the Division of Environmental Quality at least ten working days before any demolition, even if no asbestos is present (§ 860-201(a)), and the same notice before a renovation that disturbs at least 260 linear feet of asbestos on pipes, 160 square feet on other components or 35 cubic feet (§ 860-203). Hazardous materials, wet paint, fuel, solvents and asbestos never go in our roll-offs, and we ask what the building is before we quote a demo job.

Job-site placement across Northwest Arkansas

On a private lot we place where the driver can reach it and the crew can load it, on flat, solid ground with about 60 feet of clear approach and about 25 feet of clearance overhead, and we coordinate placement with your site manager. In Bentonville, City Code § 42-80 says: "No pickups or hauling of refuse shall be made except by city-owned or authorized vehicles. Authorized vehicles shall be those as to which the owner has a written contract with the city." Homes and businesses use the City's collection service, run by a contractor under a City contract (§ 42-71), and we found no City page that mentions roll-offs or construction debris. So we check the City's requirements and the placement with you before booking. On a Bentonville street, a City right-of-way permit is needed for any work in the public right-of-way (§ 50-721), § 82-120 makes it an offense to obstruct a street, alley or sidewalk, and a truck over three tons may park on a street only while loading or unloading - in residential zones only between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. (§ 94-63). So the driveway comes first. Arkansas law holds state highway right-of-way "inviolate for state highway purposes" and allows no encroachments in it (Ark. Code § 27-67-304), and we found no ArDOT permit for a container, so a container never goes in the right-of-way of I-49, US-71, US-62, US-412, AR-12, AR-72, AR-102 or AR-112. On the road, Arkansas law requires every load to be built or loaded so nothing drops, sifts, leaks or escapes (Ark. Code § 27-35-110(a)).

Construction dumpster rental — the local specifics

Several cities write construction-site containers into their code. Centerton requires a covered container of at least 50 cubic feet on every building site before a temporary electric meter is approved (§ 5.05.02), and its demolition permit requires a 20-yard minimum dumpster on site (§ 11.20.03(F)) — check current fees with the City. Springdale wants the general contractor to provide trash containment holding at least five cubic yards, with no openings over three inches, by the first required inspection (§ 102-10); Cave Springs has a similar construction-site rule (§ 52.08); and in Tontitown construction containers are to be emptied by a hauler licensed by the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District (§ 53.09). Little Flock wants construction waste put in a container or enclosure at the end of each work day (§ 5.12.01), Pea Ridge requires building waste to be contained and removed, with no burying of construction debris (§ 5.24.01), and in Lowell illegal dumping on a building site can bring a stop-work order (§ 26-44(d)). Who may haul from the site depends on the city — in most of them we check the City's rules before booking. Every city page quotes the section.

Construction Dumpster Rental — your questions answered

Not covered here? Call (479) 364-6745 and ask.

Do you do swap-outs?

Yes. Once the container is full we haul it and rotate in an empty one, and long-term construction sites can set up ongoing swap-outs from the start.

Can I mix concrete with other debris?

You can, but it costs you. Concrete fills the weight allowance long before the box looks full, so heavy materials go in the smaller containers and should not be mixed with household junk without checking first. A 10 for rubble alongside a bigger box for the rest is usually the cheaper plan.

Can you deliver to a site with no address yet?

Yes — give us the nearest cross streets and a site contact, and we coordinate delivery timing and placement with you or the site manager before the truck goes out.

Do I need a permit for a container on a job site?

On the lot itself, the city's construction-site rules are what usually apply — Centerton, Springdale, Cave Springs and Tontitown each have one. In a street, Bentonville needs a City right-of-way permit for any work in the public right-of-way (§ 50-721), and Rogers wants a ROW Use Permit for a dumpster in a street or public parking space. A demolition other than a home of four or fewer units brings the state's ten-working-day notice. We flag all of it when you book.

Who is allowed to haul construction debris in my city?

It depends on the city. Bentonville, Pea Ridge and Gravette limit hauling to vehicles whose owner has a written contract with the City; Springdale wants a City contract and licence fee for commercial collectors; Siloam Springs and Prairie Grove collect themselves unless the City consents in writing; and Lincoln requires a City licence to collect or transport solid waste (§ 5.20.04(D)). In the restricted cities we check the City's rules before booking.
