Bentonville, AR Dumpster Rental: The Complete Guide

Why rent a dumpster?

Whether you are remodeling a kitchen, clearing out a garage, replacing a roof, running a construction job or cleaning up after a storm, a roll-off puts all the debris in one place instead of trip after trip to a disposal site. The payoff is a cleaner, safer property, fewer runs and one flat-rate cleanup. In Bentonville it matters more than you might think: the City's trash service is two carts, yard waste may not go in the normal trash, and burning yard debris is prohibited at all times (fire code 307.4.6, § 14-204). The District's drop-off sites take household special waste only, never building materials. Remodels make more debris than people expect, and roof tear-offs, estate cleanouts, landscaping and demolition fill a box quicker than a trailer.

How a roll-off rental works

You call, tell us about the project and the address, and choose a size with our help. You get a flat-rate quote that includes delivery, pickup and disposal and the standard rental period of 3 to 7 days. We deliver to your home, business or job site, usually the same or next day when availability allows. You fill it with approved debris, keeping it below the top rim, and when you are done you call us and we pick it up. You do not need to be home for delivery or pickup, as long as we know where to place the dumpster and the area is clear of vehicles and obstacles.

Our yard is at 2501 SE Otis Corley Dr in southeast Bentonville, near I-49, inside the City of Bentonville and Benton County according to the US Census geocoder. Bentonville had 54,164 people at the 2020 Census and Benton County 284,333. We are locally owned, and the approx. road distance from the yard to downtown is 4 miles, around 10 minutes.

Choosing a size

Start with the job, then check the weight. A 10 yard, about 14 feet long, suits small remodels, roofing and heavy material such as concrete and dirt. A 15, about 16 feet, suits garage cleanouts, flooring and yard debris. The 20, 30 and 40 share a length of about 22 feet and get taller: the 20 for renovations, roofing and landscaping, and our most popular size; the 30 for whole-home cleanouts and large remodels; the 40 for commercial construction and demolition. All are about 7.5 feet wide. Weight allowances run from 1–2 tons on a 10 up to 5–6 tons on a 40, depending on the debris. The sizing guide has the full table.

Who handles what: city, district and state

Inside Bentonville, homes and businesses use the City's refuse service and pay its charges (§ 42-71), run by a contractor under a City contract, and refuse hauling is limited to City-owned vehicles or vehicles whose owner has a written contract with the City (§ 42-80). Across Benton County, the Benton County Regional Solid Waste Management District, a public body serving the county since 2005, licenses haulers and sets rules for containers and loads (8 CAR pt. 110). In Washington County, the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District does the same. The State defines the waste: construction and demolition waste (8 CAR § 60-106(15)), Class 4 bulky waste such as furniture, stumps and limbs (§ 60-106(10)) and yard waste, meaning grass clippings, leaves and shrubbery trimmings (§ 60-106(114)).

Most of the cities around us run trash through a City contract or City crews, and several write their own hauling rules, which is why a roll-off for a remodel, a roof, a move-out or a construction site is usually booked with the address in hand and the town's rules checked first.

Placement and permits

Driveway first. In Bentonville, City Code § 42-80 says: "No pickups or hauling of refuse shall be made except by city-owned or authorized vehicles. Authorized vehicles shall be those as to which the owner has a written contract with the city." No City page we found mentions roll-offs or construction debris, so we check the City's requirements and the placement with you before booking. A street, alley or sidewalk spot raises the right-of-way permit (§ 50-721), which the City reviews in 5 business days, and § 82-120 bars obstructing streets and sidewalks. Trucks over three tons park on a street only while loading or unloading, and in residential zones only from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (§ 94-63). State highway right-of-way is held inviolate (Ark. Code § 27-67-304) and we found no ArDOT container permit, so we never place along I-49, US-71, US-62, AR-12, AR-72, AR-102, AR-112 or US-412. The permit guide covers every town.

Who may haul

The Benton County Solid Waste District requires a hauler licence for anyone collecting or transporting solid waste in the county (8 CAR § 110-603(b)), every roll-off must show the business name and phone number in letters at least four inches high on two sides (§ 110-612(b)(4)), and open loads are tarped above 35 mph (§ 110-612(b)(2)(B)). In Washington County, the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District requires its own licence (§ 9.02(A)). Neither licence overrides a city's exclusive franchise.

Rogers, Centerton, Bella Vista, Cave Springs, Little Flock, Pea Ridge, Highfill, Springdale, Siloam Springs, Gravette and Prairie Grove each have a City-controlled hauling rule, so we check the City's rules before booking there, and in Gentry we check with City Hall. Tontitown and Lincoln have licence rules. The permit guide has the sections. We're licensed & insured.

What goes in, what stays out

In: wood, drywall, tile and flooring, carpet and pad, cabinets, countertops and vanities, doors and windows, furniture, mattresses and household junk, roofing shingles and underlayment, small appliances, pallets, packaging and cardboard, yard waste, and concrete, brick, asphalt, rock and dirt within the weight limits of a 10 or 15. Out: paint, solvents and oils, fuel and other hazardous liquids, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, gas cylinders, propane tanks and other pressurized tanks, medical waste, asbestos, and appliances that still hold refrigerant. Arkansas law backs two of those: no used lead-acid battery in municipal solid waste (Ark. Code § 8-9-303(f)) and no whole tires in a landfill (§ 8-9-403(c)(3)(A)). The full guide says what to do with each instead.

Demolition and asbestos

Arkansas's Asbestos Abatement Rule is 20 CAR pt. 860. The owner or operator of a demolition or renovation must have the affected facility thoroughly inspected for asbestos before work starts (§ 860-105). For any demolition of a facility, even if no asbestos is present, a written notice goes to the Division of Environmental Quality at least ten working days before demolition begins (§ 860-201(a)). For renovations, notice is due when regulated asbestos reaches 260 linear feet on pipes, 160 square feet on other components or 35 cubic feet (§ 860-203). The rule's definition of a facility excludes residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units (§ 860-104(32)(A)), but that does not take a home outside every asbestos rule, since disposal rules can still apply.

Asbestos-containing material must be handled and disposed of under the Asbestos Abatement Rule and the federal rules (8 CAR § 60-702). Asbestos never goes in our roll-offs. If an older home may have it, have it checked before the tear-out starts.

Where the loads go

Benton County haulers may take waste only to a fully permitted facility (8 CAR § 110-612(b)(5)), and the District says construction and demolition materials must go to a transfer station or landfill. Every load on the road must be built or loaded so nothing drops, sifts, leaks or escapes (Ark. Code § 27-35-110(a)), and haulers' open loads are tarped above 35 mph (§ 110-612(b)(2)(B)). Keeping a clean concrete or brick load apart from household junk helps, because clean loads are easier to recycle.

We work with local recycling and disposal facilities, and whenever possible, debris like metal, concrete and yard waste is recycled instead of dumped.

The rules change once you leave Bentonville. Next door are Rogers (pop. 69,908; approx. 4 road miles), Centerton (17,792; 7), Bella Vista (30,104; 15), Cave Springs (5,495; 8), Little Flock (3,055; 6) and Lowell (9,839; 8). In Washington County are Springdale (84,161, partly in Benton County; 15), Tontitown (4,301; 18), Lincoln (2,294; 41) and Prairie Grove (7,045; 33). Populations are 2020 Census counts and miles are approx. road miles from our yard. See the service area, or the Bentonville page for home.

Loading, pickup and booking

Spread materials evenly from front to back and side to side, break bulky pieces down, and keep everything below the top rim: if it is overfilled, we cannot legally haul it. Keep the path clear for pickup. Need more time? Call and we will quote a small daily or weekly extension fee, or swap a full box for an empty one. Contractors can ask about job-site rotations and invoicing by purchase order. Near homes we plan drop-offs and pickups for the daytime and do not promise night or Sunday service.

To book, call (479) 364-6745 — the phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Have the address, the material and a rough quantity ready, and call early for the best chance of same-day service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and payment is made when your booking is confirmed, to secure your delivery slot.

Frequently asked questions

Not covered here? Call (479) 364-6745 and ask.

How long does a dumpster rental last in Bentonville?

The standard rental period is 3 to 7 days, and your quote confirms the days. If you need more time, call us and we will quote a small daily or weekly extension fee. Finish early and we will schedule an early pickup.

Does the City of Bentonville pick up construction debris?

We found no City page that mentions construction debris or roll-offs. The City trash service is two carts on the utility bill, and yard waste goes to the City compost facility. A roll-off is the usual answer for a remodel.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. As long as we know where to place the dumpster and the area is clear of vehicles and obstacles, you do not need to be there. Mark the spot with cones, tape or chalk if that helps.

Do you serve the towns around Bentonville?

Yes. We cover Rogers, Centerton, Bella Vista, Cave Springs, Little Flock, Lowell, Pea Ridge, Highfill, Gravette, Decatur, Gentry, Siloam Springs, Springdale, Tontitown, Lincoln and Prairie Grove, with each town's rules on its own page.
