Roll-off dumpster rental in Pea Ridge

Approx. 12 road miles north-northeast of the yard, around 19 minutes.

Pea Ridge is approx. 12 road miles north-northeast of the yard, around 19 minutes. Same-day or next-day when availability allows, once we've checked the City's rules for the job. Pea Ridge is a city of 6,559 at the 2020 Census.

Pea Ridge uses the same words as Bentonville: “No pickups or hauling of refuse shall be made except by city-owned or authorized vehicles. Authorized vehicles shall be those as to which the owner has a written contract with the city” (§ 5.16.08(A)). On top of that, running a solid waste collection service in the city takes a City permit (§ 5.16.10), the City may limit permittees to a single provider, and its definition of solid waste expressly includes building materials (§ 5.16.01). We check the City's rules before booking.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Pea Ridge

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Contract-only hauling — refuse is hauled only by City-owned vehicles or those whose owner has a written contract with the City (§ 5.16.08(A)).
  • City collection permit — a solid waste collection service needs a City permit (§ 5.16.10), applied for through the Street Superintendent and valid to 31 December (§§ 5.16.11, 5.16.12).
  • Building materials count — the code's definition of solid waste expressly includes building materials (§ 5.16.01).
  • Trucks off side streets — trucks over 6,000 lb may not park on any city street not marked as a truck route (§ 8.08.01(E)).
  • No burying debris — owners, contractors and developers must properly contain, remove and dispose of building waste; burying or filling with construction debris is prohibited (§ 5.24.01).
  • Burn permits are for yard waste — control burns are approved one day at a time, for yard waste only, never trash or building materials.

What comes out of Pea Ridge properties

Pea Ridge doesn't let builders bury their mess: owners, contractors and developers must “properly contain, remove and dispose of” building waste, with “Absolutely no burying or filling of construction debris” (§ 5.24.01) and fines up to $500 (§ 5.24.02). A City burn permit is for yard waste only — “NO TRASH, BUILDING MATERIALS, ETC.” Small clean-outs and garage jobs fit a 10 (about 3 pickup loads); medium renovations and yard work a 15 (4 to 5 loads); roofing, remodeling and landscape jobs a 20 (about 6); large clean-outs and commercial jobs a 30 (about 9); and demolition and construction a 40 (about 12). Concrete and dirt go in a 10 or a 15 only — heavy materials have strict weight limits, and tile, plaster, shingles and wet yard waste get heavy quickly. The standard rental is 3 to 7 days. Need longer? We quote a small daily or weekly extension fee. Finish early? Call and we'll schedule an early pickup.

What goes in: wood, drywall, tile and flooring, furniture and household junk, yard clippings and branches, roofing shingles and small appliances, with concrete and dirt in a 10- or 15-yard container only. What doesn't go in: paint, solvents and oils, fuel, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, hazardous chemicals, medical waste and asbestos — that's our own list. Arkansas law backs up two of them: a used lead-acid battery may not go in with municipal solid waste (Ark. Code § 8-9-303(f)), and whole tires can't be landfilled unless they're shredded or split (§ 8-9-403(c)(3)(A)). The state's landfill rules also keep liquid waste, and containers holding it, out of Class 4 landfills (8 CAR § 60-616). If you're unsure about something, call before it goes in. Our what can and can't go in a dumpster in Arkansas guide covers the rest. Household special waste goes to the Benton County Solid Waste District's drop-off sites: the main site at 5702 Brookside Rd (the District's Centerton site) and satellites at 2307 N Arkansas St in Rogers and 1108 E Ashley St in Siloam Springs. They are for households only — no building materials of any kind, no household trash and no delivery in commercial vehicles — so call the District at (479) 795-0751 for what each site takes.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Pea Ridge

Who may haul — we check first: “All structures in the city in which persons reside or where any business, industrial, commercial or other enterprise is operated shall use the refuse pick up services provided for by this chapter” (§ 5.16.02), and “No pickups or hauling of refuse shall be made except by city-owned or authorized vehicles. Authorized vehicles shall be those as to which the owner has a written contract with the city” (§ 5.16.08(A)), with fines up to $100 a day (§ 5.16.08(C)). “It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or operate a solid waste collection service within the corporate limits of the city without a permit properly issued by the city” (§ 5.16.10), which also takes a City business permit and a District permit; applications go to the Street Superintendent, 975 Weston St, with routes, frequency, rates and proof of insurance (§ 5.16.11), and permits run to 31 December (§ 5.16.12). The City may limit permittees to one provider (§ 5.16.01). We check the City's rules before booking a container in Pea Ridge. We're licensed and insured.

Trucks and the street: “It is unlawful to park or permit the parking of any motor truck or other motorized vehicles or equipment on any city street not expressly marked as a truck route” (§ 8.08.01(E)), where a motor truck is anything over 6,000 lb (§ 8.08.01(D)); trucks making deliveries or pickups take the shortest route from the truck route. Trash or debris may not be placed on a street or alley right-of-way (§ 8.16.05), and equipment may not stay parked on one for more than twenty-four hours (§ 8.16.06). We found no right-of-way permit for dumpsters. Driveway first. You don't need to be home as long as we know where the container goes and the spot is clear of vehicles and obstacles. Leave about 60 feet of clear approach for the truck and about 25 feet of overhead clearance, free of power lines and branches. Our smaller containers fit easily in most driveways, and we use boards when needed to protect the driveway.

Building waste: owners, contractors and developers must “properly contain, remove and dispose of” building waste — “Absolutely no burying or filling of construction debris” (§ 5.24.01).

County hauler rules: Arkansas leaves hauler licensing to its regional solid waste districts (8 CAR § 60-202). Benton County's district rules say “A person who engages in hauling solid waste within Benton County must obtain a license from the district” to collect solid waste in the district or transport it for disposal or storage there (8 CAR § 110-603(b)); every roll-off container must show the business name and phone number “in letters no less than four inches … high on at least two (2) sides of the unit” (§ 110-612(b)(4)); and a District licence “does not supersede any local government's issuance of an exclusive franchise for hauling within its boundaries” (§ 110-609(d)) — which is why the local rules on this page matter.

State highways: Arkansas holds state highway rights-of-way “inviolate for state highway purposes” (Ark. Code § 27-67-304(a)), and we found no ArDOT permit for setting a container on one — so a container never goes in the right-of-way of I-49, US-71, US-62, US-412 or a state route such as AR-12, AR-72, AR-102 or AR-112. Beside one, it goes on private property.

Covered loads: in Benton County, haulers' vehicles with open storage areas “must be tarped when traveling in excess of thirty-five miles per hour (35 m.p.h.)” (8 CAR § 110-612(b)(2)(B)), and state law bars driving any vehicle that isn't loaded so as to prevent its load from dropping, sifting, leaking or otherwise escaping (Ark. Code § 27-35-110(a)). Keep debris below the top rim — if it's overfilled, we can't legally haul it.

Remodel or tear-down: Arkansas' Asbestos Abatement Rule (20 CAR pt. 860) leaves residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units out of its definition of a facility (§ 860-104(32)(A)), though disposal rules can still apply. For other buildings, the owner or operator has the building inspected for asbestos before demolition or renovation starts (§ 860-105), files a written notice with the Division of Environmental Quality at least 10 working days before any demolition, “even if no asbestos is present” (§ 860-201(a)), and gives the same notice for a renovation that disturbs at least 260 linear feet on pipes, 160 square feet on other components or 35 cubic feet (§ 860-203). Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if an inspection finds any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Pea Ridge

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. Step 1: Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the address and the city — the rules follow the city the property is in — what you are clearing, whether a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard or a job site, what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. Step 2: We size it and quote it flat

We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or call for another pickup, and you get a clear, flat-rate price that covers delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period of 3 to 7 days. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size. If your city controls who may haul, we check its rules before booking.

  3. Step 3: Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on flat, solid ground rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.

  4. Step 4: Load it at your pace

Keep everything below the top rim and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and oils, fuel, hazardous chemicals, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, medical waste, asbestos, and fridges or A/C units that still hold refrigerant. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal

Call or text when it is full or the job is done and we come and pick it up promptly. The load goes to local recycling and disposal facilities, and metal, concrete and yard waste are recycled instead of dumped whenever possible.

Dumpster rental in Pea Ridge — common questions

Not covered here? Call (479) 364-6745 and ask.

Can I get a roll-off in Pea Ridge?

Yes. We check the City's rules before booking a container in Pea Ridge, because City code allows refuse hauling only by City vehicles or vehicles with a written City contract (§ 5.16.08) and requires a City collection permit (§ 5.16.10). Call (479) 364-6745 with the address and the job.

Can a dumpster go on a Pea Ridge street?

We place on the driveway. Trash and debris may not be put on a street or alley right-of-way (§ 8.16.05), and trucks over 6,000 lb may not park on a street that isn't a marked truck route (§ 8.08.01(E)).

Can I burn construction debris in Pea Ridge?

No. City burn permits are for yard waste only, never trash or building materials, and the code prohibits burying construction debris (§ 5.24.01). It goes in a container.

How far is Pea Ridge from your yard?

Approx. 12 road miles north-northeast, around 19 minutes. Same-day or next-day when availability allows, once we've checked the City's rules.
