Roll-off dumpster rental in Cave Springs

Approx. 8 road miles south-southwest of the yard, around 15 minutes.

Cave Springs is approx. 8 road miles south-southwest of the yard, around 15 minutes. Same-day or next-day when availability allows, once we've checked the City's rules for the job. Cave Springs is a city of 5,495 at the 2020 Census.

Cave Springs' solid waste chapter (adopted by Ord. 2021-17) gives the City's contractor the exclusive right to collect from residential units, and lets commercial waste providers serve other customers only once the City has licensed or authorized them, with a written agreement with the City in place and a fee paid to the City on commercial charges (§ 52.02(F)). Its definitions count waste from residential construction as commercial waste, and leave construction and demolition waste out of the chapter except when it's in roll-off containers (§ 52.01). How that applies to a given job is a question for City Hall, so we check the City's rules before booking.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Cave Springs

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Residential contractor — residential units use the City's contractor, which holds the exclusive right to collect from them (§ 52.02).
  • Commercial providers by agreement — commercial waste providers need City licence or authorization and a written agreement with the City before signing customers (§ 52.02(F)).
  • Roll-offs in the definitions — construction and demolition waste is excluded from the chapter's solid waste except in roll-off containers, and commercial waste includes residential construction (§ 52.01).
  • Site container required — general contractors provide trash containment that holds at least five cubic yards with no openings over three inches, in place by the first required inspection (§ 52.08).
  • Construction debris is the owner's — the City's contractor isn't required to remove construction or demolition debris from private property (§ 52.05).
  • Spring and fall clean-ups — the City runs citywide bulky-waste clean-ups in spring and fall (§ 52.05).

What comes out of Cave Springs properties

On a Cave Springs build, the general contractor needs containment that holds at least five cubic yards with no openings over three inches by the first required inspection, and the City stops inspections on a site that keeps drawing complaints (§ 52.08). The City's contractor doesn't take construction or demolition debris from private property — removing it is the owner's, occupant's, tenant's or lessee's job (§ 52.05). Small clean-outs and garage jobs fit a 10 (about 3 pickup loads); medium renovations and yard work a 15 (4 to 5 loads); roofing, remodeling and landscape jobs a 20 (about 6); large clean-outs and commercial jobs a 30 (about 9); and demolition and construction a 40 (about 12). Concrete and dirt go in a 10 or a 15 only — heavy materials have strict weight limits, and tile, plaster, shingles and wet yard waste get heavy quickly. The standard rental is 3 to 7 days. Need longer? We quote a small daily or weekly extension fee. Finish early? Call and we'll schedule an early pickup.

What goes in: wood, drywall, tile and flooring, furniture and household junk, yard clippings and branches, roofing shingles and small appliances, with concrete and dirt in a 10- or 15-yard container only. What doesn't go in: paint, solvents and oils, fuel, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, hazardous chemicals, medical waste and asbestos — that's our own list. Arkansas law backs up two of them: a used lead-acid battery may not go in with municipal solid waste (Ark. Code § 8-9-303(f)), and whole tires can't be landfilled unless they're shredded or split (§ 8-9-403(c)(3)(A)). The state's landfill rules also keep liquid waste, and containers holding it, out of Class 4 landfills (8 CAR § 60-616). If you're unsure about something, call before it goes in. Our what can and can't go in a dumpster in Arkansas guide covers the rest. Household special waste goes to the Benton County Solid Waste District's drop-off sites: the main site at 5702 Brookside Rd (the District's Centerton site) and satellites at 2307 N Arkansas St in Rogers and 1108 E Ashley St in Siloam Springs. They are for households only — no building materials of any kind, no household trash and no delivery in commercial vehicles — so call the District at (479) 795-0751 for what each site takes.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Cave Springs

Who may haul — we check first: Cave Springs' solid waste chapter (Ch. 52, adopted by Ord. 2021-17) has residential units use the City's contractor or an approved subcontractor and gives the contractor the exclusive right and obligation to collect from them (§ 52.02(A), (D)); no residential provider may work in the city without Council approval (§ 52.02(B)). Commercial waste providers may serve non-residential units only if the City has licensed or authorized them, paying the City a franchise or licence fee on commercial charges, with a written agreement with the City in place before they sign a commercial customer (§ 52.02(F)). Commercial waste is defined to include residential construction, and construction and demolition waste in roll-off containers isn't excluded (§ 52.01); violations are misdemeanors (§ 52.99). The code text comes from the City's online code host as a summary, so it's paraphrased here. We check the City's rules before booking a container in Cave Springs — City Hall is (479) 248-1040. We're licensed and insured.

Construction sites: the general contractor provides adequate trash containment that holds at least five cubic yards of refuse with no openings over three inches, in place no later than the first required inspection and emptied regularly. After repeat complaints the contractor gets three working days to fix it, then the City stops inspections until the site complies (§ 52.08).

In the street: we read only the headings of the City's traffic and nuisance chapters and found no truck-parking, right-of-way permit or dumpster-in-street rule among them; the section text wasn't read. Driveway first. You don't need to be home as long as we know where the container goes and the spot is clear of vehicles and obstacles. Leave about 60 feet of clear approach for the truck and about 25 feet of overhead clearance, free of power lines and branches. Our smaller containers fit easily in most driveways, and we use boards when needed to protect the driveway.

County hauler rules: Arkansas leaves hauler licensing to its regional solid waste districts (8 CAR § 60-202). Benton County's district rules say “A person who engages in hauling solid waste within Benton County must obtain a license from the district” to collect solid waste in the district or transport it for disposal or storage there (8 CAR § 110-603(b)); every roll-off container must show the business name and phone number “in letters no less than four inches … high on at least two (2) sides of the unit” (§ 110-612(b)(4)); and a District licence “does not supersede any local government's issuance of an exclusive franchise for hauling within its boundaries” (§ 110-609(d)) — which is why the local rules on this page matter.

State highways: Arkansas holds state highway rights-of-way “inviolate for state highway purposes” (Ark. Code § 27-67-304(a)), and we found no ArDOT permit for setting a container on one — so a container never goes in the right-of-way of I-49, US-71, US-62, US-412 or a state route such as AR-12, AR-72, AR-102 or AR-112. Beside one, it goes on private property.

Covered loads: in Benton County, haulers' vehicles with open storage areas “must be tarped when traveling in excess of thirty-five miles per hour (35 m.p.h.)” (8 CAR § 110-612(b)(2)(B)), and state law bars driving any vehicle that isn't loaded so as to prevent its load from dropping, sifting, leaking or otherwise escaping (Ark. Code § 27-35-110(a)). Keep debris below the top rim — if it's overfilled, we can't legally haul it.

Remodel or tear-down: Arkansas' Asbestos Abatement Rule (20 CAR pt. 860) leaves residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units out of its definition of a facility (§ 860-104(32)(A)), though disposal rules can still apply. For other buildings, the owner or operator has the building inspected for asbestos before demolition or renovation starts (§ 860-105), files a written notice with the Division of Environmental Quality at least 10 working days before any demolition, “even if no asbestos is present” (§ 860-201(a)), and gives the same notice for a renovation that disturbs at least 260 linear feet on pipes, 160 square feet on other components or 35 cubic feet (§ 860-203). Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if an inspection finds any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Cave Springs

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. Step 1: Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the address and the city — the rules follow the city the property is in — what you are clearing, whether a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard or a job site, what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. Step 2: We size it and quote it flat

We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or call for another pickup, and you get a clear, flat-rate price that covers delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period of 3 to 7 days. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size. If your city controls who may haul, we check its rules before booking.

  3. Step 3: Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on flat, solid ground rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.

  4. Step 4: Load it at your pace

Keep everything below the top rim and keep the problem items out — paint, solvents and oils, fuel, hazardous chemicals, tires, batteries, gas cylinders and propane tanks, medical waste, asbestos, and fridges or A/C units that still hold refrigerant. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal

Call or text when it is full or the job is done and we come and pick it up promptly. The load goes to local recycling and disposal facilities, and metal, concrete and yard waste are recycled instead of dumped whenever possible.

Can I get a roll-off in Cave Springs?

Yes. We check the City's rules before booking a container in Cave Springs, because commercial waste providers need a written agreement with the City, and the City's definitions bring residential construction and roll-off containers into its rules. Call (479) 364-6745 with the address and the job.

No. The City's contractor isn't required to remove construction or demolition debris from private property; removing it is the property owner's or occupant's responsibility (§ 52.05).
